Transformer20 celebrates our legacy, showcasing more than 100 Transformer alumni artists who define the organization’s distinct and significant aesthetic. Incorporating video, photography, painting, mixed-media installation, sculpture, performance art and more throughout the atrium of the Corcoran’s historic Flagg building, Transformer20 will illustrate Transformer’s dynamic success in supporting and propelling the best of what is happening now and next in contemporary visual art.

Emphasizing three tenets of Transformer’s success: the artists that drive our work, our space at 1404 P St NW, and our myriad cultural partnerships - Transformer20 will spotlight the progressive approach to working with artists that Transformer has advanced, and the creative dialogue and relationships between artists, audiences, and partner organizations that Transformer has become a respected conduit to establishing. 

Transformer20 programming will include curator tours, artist talks & workshops, and panels, as well as video interviews with Transformer artist alumni & collaborators.

All artwork will be available for sale via online auction. Members of Transformer’s Visionary Leaders Circle will receive first access to bid and purchase artworks featured in Transformer20.
