 THE ASBURY X TRANSFORMER

Transformer is thrilled to grow our partnership with The Asbury Hotel in support of emerging visual artists. The presentation of Victor Koroma's Spin Concept Series builds upon The Asbury Hotel's support of Transformer's Siren Arts summer residency progam & performance art series, featuring an evolving & diverse roster of dynamic emerging visual artists based within the northeast corridor of Washington, DC to NYC.

"With this new collaboration presenting Victor Koroma’s artwork in The Asbury – a space that clearly embraces thoughtful design and creative engagement – I’m excited to further engage the local community, and growing contemporary arts audiences visiting Asbury Park, with stellar artists and best art practices." - Victoria Reis, Founder & Director, Transformer

THE WORK: SPIN CONCEPT SERIES

Spin Concept is a series of short videos that recreates the stylistic production of advertising commercials. It’s a vivid visual commentary on the whimsical creative means ad agencies invest in to sell people products.

THE ARTIST: VICTOR KOROMA

"My mission is to find new ways to construct and reconstruct what a photograph is. My process is similar to computer hacking. I alter and modify the software and hardware of conventional photography in order to reprogram the medium with new directives. A mixed media synthesis utilizing elements of paintings, illustrations, and sculpture." - Victor Koroma VICTORKPHOTOGRAPHY.COM
